Impractical Jokers: The Movie Review- Fresh Jokes & Fun Times That Make You Want To Prank Everyone

If your like me, you have watched Impractical Jokers reruns more times than you can count when they are on and simply cannot change the channel. You have seen all the pranks, you know the inside jokes, maybe they have inspired you to prank your friends a bit. All in all, the Impractical Jokers crew, also known as the Tenderloins, have kept a special place in your heart throughout your entire life, so what better way to expand their brand is by making a Jackass-style film with our favorite pranksters. With that being said, Funny Or Die has done with "Impractical Joker: The Movie". The movie is both a hidden camera style prank film, as done such as the show, with written film segments that push the story of the film. Just in case you are unclear of this concept, it is not the first time it has been done. If you are familiar with "Jackass Presents: Bad Grandpa" it almost in that same style, pranks with a story in between that leads up to each of the pranks and/or stunts used in the film. The story begins in 1994 with a "young" Sal, Q, Joe, and Murr in high school attending a Paula Abdul concert. At this concert, the young lads begin their journey of pranks to one another and from then on out, the legends are born to the comedians we know that as today. As they continue the pranks across New York, they meet up with Abdul again who offers the group three tickets and VIP passes to her next show, what is the problem their, they only have three tickets. So in order to decide who will receive the tickets among the four friends, they go throw a series of challenges and pranks to decide the ultimate loser who will not attend the show. The pranks done by the group are definitely some of the pranks they have done to one another in the history of the shows existence. They were fresh, they were beyond silly, and practically perfect in some ways more than others. Especially when it involved outside civilians and to see their amazing reactions when the situation presents itself to them. This factor alone makes the film much more enjoyable to watch and provides like a homey feel to the movie, and much more enjoyable then watching four guys laugh at themselves. While the story itself is very silly at hand, and I guess you can see the weakest points of the film, it's nice to take a break from all the pranks and catch your breath a bit to know where they are and figure out the situation at hand. But if you take this film to serious your not gonna like what is in store. This is a film made for the fans, as a thank you for their unconditional support over the last few years. The only negative I really have about this movie is simply not enough pranks. I wanted more laughs, more pranks, and just more of those hilarious onscreen moments, but you never know they can always make a sequel. Also I was hoping for outtakes during the credits maybe to see if they get recognized or if the joke falls flat, which sometimes could lead to better results. In the end, while we are all stuck in quarantine, and you have just finished "Tiger King" and are in the mode for a great laugh, "Impractical Jokers: The Movie" does not disappoint and puts a huge smile on your face.
